SIMNET Updates

You can now export your SIMNET models in STEP format, and load them to your CAD software of choice for detailed structural design. Simply click on Aircraft->Export Model to download STEP and STL files of your design.

SIMNET now includes the DJI F350 aircraft, using ArduPilot flight control system. The DJI F450 is a quadcopter frame designed for both hobbyists and professionals, known for its versatility and durability. It's a popular choice for custom drone builds.

SIMNET Designer now includes the Wind Tunnel Pane, which provides users with a visualization of the flow field around the aircraft, as well as the forces generated during flight.

We've revamped the tutorials page to enhance user-friendliness and improve navigation.

We have now released new courses on SIMNET Academy, for the ArduPilot platform. These courses were developed in collaboration with the ArduPilot project, to teach users how to use ArduPilot-powered drones safely and effectively.

SIMNET now includes the T55 Quadcopter, a small quadcopter aircraft with a 3-axis stabilized camera, powered by ArduPilot.

The new settings menu allows you to easily tweak the simulation rendering quality, and adjust sound effect volumes.

SIMNET now includes the Skywalker Tilt-Body VTOL UAV aircraft, which serves as an example for how to design your own tilt-body VTOL UAV within SIMNET.

SIMNET now includes the Mugin 2600 fixed-wing VTOL aircraft.

The Simulation Pane now features an improved user interface that emulates the flight interfaces provided by popular drone systems. The 'First Person View' and 'Stabilized Camera' view modes now have a Heads-Up-Display with information such as battery level, signal strengths, and flight altitude. On 'Stabilized Camera' view mode, the interface also allows for controlling the gimbal tilt and zoom. Buttons on the left allow for taking photos, as well as viewing or downloading them through a photo album.

The 'Borinquén RC Model Club' location has been added, featuring a runway which can be used for practicing fixed-wing takeoffs and landings.
